The game Energy Hunt

This game motivates to drink nutrition drinks

Energy Hunt is a rewarding game where every sip charges a digital battery. Developed with speech therapist Nemo Malmgren Lindberg, the game combines joy and structure to foster positive habits. It is designed to support positive behavior and is perfect for those who need extra help with eating and drinking.
Why the game works

The game is based onpositive reinforcement

Energy Hunt is built on positive reinforcement, a well-known method in psychological and educational research, which means that behaviors leading to positive outcomes increase in frequency. This theory has been successfully applied in several clinical approaches, including Positive Behavior Support (PBS).

Developed togetherwith a speech therapist

With years of experience as a clinically active speech therapist at a habilitation center, Nemo Malmgren Lindberg has worked to help children and adolescents with selective eating. He has tried almost everything, from playing and experimenting with food to cooking, shopping, and talking about it. Through this work, Nemo Malmgren Lindberg discovered two keys to success:
  • Joy and motivation
It must be fun and engaging.
  • Clear structure
A simple and goal-oriented plan makes all the difference.
With these insights, we created the game Energy Hunt, a smart and fun way to combine motivation and structure. The mug and game are a solution that helps users develop positive and sustainable habits.

How the game works

Get started withEnergy Hunt

Energy Hunt makes drinking both fun and rewarding by linking each behavior to a positive reward. This makes the whole process feel motivating and engaging!
  1. Create attractive rewards.
To make the reward appealing, ensure the user hasn't already had too much of what they desire. For example, if the reward is ice cream, let the user anticipate it to build stronger motivation.
  2. Choose the nutritional drink that is easiest to drink
Fill the mug with the nutritional drink that the user finds easiest to consume. Why make it harder than it needs to be?
  3. Start small and increase gradually
Nobody starts by drinking large amounts all at once. Begin with small portions and increase gradually, so the user feels that every progress leads to a reward.
  4. Choose the right reward for the right individual.
If the user isn't interested in drinking, enhance or change the reward to make it feel more valuable. Consider this: no one would want to spend a night in a haunted house for a broken scooter, but a new car? Then the motivation would be much higher!
